"Alien Invader" will be the leading track of my next album working as a gentle push into the dark, heavy science fiction-inspired sounds and lyrics that are coming. This song is like the lighthearted follow up of Gaslighter. A more playful and happier vibe, however with an undertone of melancholy and nostalgia. This track also draws some inspiration from the early 2000s cartoon Invader Zim. This song is about how it's easy to frame one side as the evil one, and one as the hero. The reality however, is much more complex. We are all capable of making mistakes and it's easy to hurt our enemies back, but it's important to acknowledge and accept this in order to overcome toxic ways of thinking and behaving and to overcome these battles.
